Roberts last day at work (by Robert)
Friday October 3rd 2008 was never going to be a normal day. After 20 years at Nissan in Sunderland I drove in through the mail gate and parked in one of the visitors spaces outside the Engineering office. The morning passed with a little work getting done (but not much) and my last Master schedule completed. Following a bit of lunch (pizza and apple pie)with the Paint and Services teams it was presentations time. Thanks to all who attended, the card and the gift. If I can work out how to use the GPS navigator it will be really useful.
A couple of photos from the day. Unfortunately the photos in the office had too much light from the windows behind us and were beyond recovery.

Congratulations on your 'retirement!' Looks like you had a nice send off. They know you too well at work, a gadget, and apple pie, it was time to go they knew too many secrets!
20 years...! I'd not really thought about how long you'd worked there before. I bet it'll be strange not getting up stupidly early and doing the daily commute any more, strange but very welcome I would imagine!
