One of our favorite places, especially to shop for fruit and veg is the Market on Granville Island, we have spent hours here, wandering around looking at the various different and unusual foods on offer. The fresh foods really are very fresh and reasonably priced too. We are now making this a weekly shop to top up our stocks and buy a few extras of course! We like the stall which sells things like rice, oats and lentils loose, so you buy just what you need, they also have unusual spices and other ingredients. Robert likes the big raisins and adds them to breakfast cereal.
The Food Court is a great place to stop for a snack or lunch, Robert enjoyed a veggie noodle dish last week, I had a smoked salmon roll, yum! I would like to go for coffee next time and a cake as there is a lovely bakery with tempting sweet and gooey things, I will let you know if they are any good!
Across from the market hall is the Net Loft, this houses various craft style shops selling books, souvenirs, local crafts and a great hat shop. Robert hasn't persuaded me to buy one yet though. I can't find one I don't look silly in, maybe that's not the fault of the hat.
